A festive pilaf.
Yield: Makes 6 servings.
1 | can | (6-oz.) frozen orange juice | |

2 1/2 | cups | water | |
|
|||
1/4 | teaspoon | ground saffron | |
|
|||
1 | tablespoon | Angostura | |
|
|||
2 | tablespoons | butter | |
|
|||
3 | cups | precooked rice | |
|
In a 2-quart saucepan mix orange juice with water, saffron, Angostura and butter. Bring to a boil. Slowly stir in rice. Stir to blend well. remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes. Stir with fork to fluff.
